Toddler Christmas Cards

Ok... last Christmas post... I promise. But I have to show you our latest Christmas cards. We've tried out a lot. We dipped cookie cutters into transparent-drying glue, stamped them on the cards and dust the glue with glitter for example. But I can't recommend it to you. It is a mess and the result is disappointing as you can see below. 

But stamping is great. It doesn't matter if you prefer rubber stamps, potaoes or foam stamps... it's fun and the little ones can make it almost alone. 

But as I have a major weakness for buttons I decorated every card with them. Some time ago I saw anywhere in the internet a button-card that imitates Christmas ornaments and this became my favourite card this year. After the first pile of cards with all the different techniques I made a bunch of this cards because I liked them so much. So, here are the pics... click to enlarge if you like.

Ja.. ich weiß... jetzt ist Weihnachten wirklich vorbei... die Weihnachtsbäume sind schon abgeholt und eigentlich schielt jeder schon mit einem Auge auf die bunten Tulpen im Supermarkt. Aber trotzdem will ich Euch noch zeigen, wie unsere Weihnachtskarten aussahen. Wir haben eine Menge 'rumprobiert und ich muss sagen, Plätzchenausstecher in Kleber tunken, einen Abdruck auf eine Karte drücken und dann Glitter drüberstreuen mach ich nie wieder! Ne Riesensauerei und das Ergebnis ist keiner Kindergartengruppe würdig. Ne... echt nicht. Unten im Hintergrund könnt ihr die häßlichen Karten vielleicht erkennen. 

Aber was wirklich Spaß gemacht hat, war das Drucken mit Radiergummi-, Moosgummi und Kartoffelstempeln. Und da ich eine ausgeprägte Schwäche für Knöpfe habe, sind überall welche draufgekommen. Meine Lieblingskarte besteht sogar fast nur aus Knöpfen. Vor einiger Zeit habe ich irgendwo im allwissenden Internet eine Karte gesehen, auf der Knöpfe wie Christbaumkugeln angeordnet waren und fand sie toll.
